Questions about island flights
Flight times, airports, passports, island hops, parking and pets. If something is missing, add it to the notes of your request.
How long is the flight to Mykonos?
By business jet, roughly three and a half to four hours from London, about three and a quarter from Paris, two and a half from Nice and around half an hour from Athens. Winds and the aircraft chosen move these times a little.
Can any private jet land on Mykonos?
Business jets up to large cabin use the airport, but parking on its small apron is scarce in peak season. Some aircraft drop guests off and reposition elsewhere; your quote shows how it will work on your dates.
Is it better to fly into Athens and connect?
Sometimes. A late arrival, a very large aircraft or a few days in Athens first can all favour the connection. Our note Athens first or straight to the island? weighs it up.
Do I need a passport?
Flights from outside the Schengen area, such as London, clear passport control on arrival in Greece. Within Schengen there is no border check on arrival, but every guest still needs a valid passport, or an EU or Swiss national identity card.
Can you arrange flights between the islands?
Yes. Turboprops and small jets connect Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and other islands, and the shortest island runways take turboprops only. See island hopping by air.
Can our dog come to Greece with us?
Many operators accept dogs with prior approval. Greece follows EU entry rules for pets, including a microchip, a rabies vaccination and the right health document, so start the paperwork early.
Is there a fee or deposit for a quote?
None at all, and no membership or account either. You pay only after choosing an aircraft and signing the charter agreement.
What happens if Mykonos airport has no parking space?
The operator can drop you off and position the aircraft to another airport, often Athens, then return to collect you. Those extra flights are part of your all-in quote, so there are no surprises.
Can we fly in late in the evening?
Often, but island arrivals depend on airport hours, permissions and parking on the day. Your advisor confirms what is possible for your date before you book.
Can you arrange transfers to our villa or yacht?
Tell us where you are staying and we will include ground transport, or a handover to your villa or yacht team, in the plan.
How early should we book for July and August?
As early as you can. Peak weeks bring the most demand for aircraft and island parking, and early requests give the widest choice.
Who operates the flights?
Certificated air carriers with operational control of the aircraft: FAA Part 135 operators, or in Europe operators holding an air operator certificate. We arrange the flight and name the operator on your quote.
